USAID’s MEASURE Evaluation Project is pleased to announce the regional workshop on “Monitoring and Evaluation of HIV/AIDS Programs,” for English speaking professionals. The workshop is sponsored by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), New Delhi, India in collaboration with MEASURE Evaluation. The two-week course will be held 8 – 19 November 2010 in New Delhi, India. Applications must be submitted to PHFI by 13 August 2010.
Taught in English, the course is designed for national and sub-national level M&E professionals and their counterparts, assistants and advisors who are involved with the implementation of HIV/AIDS programs. The workshop offers intensive training that will cover the fundamental concepts and tools for monitoring and evaluating HIV/AIDS programs. The total course fee for the workshop is $6200. A limited number of MEASURE Evaluation fellowships are available to qualified students.

8. Catholic Relief Services (CRS) - Manager II, AIDSRelief Haiti Deputy Chief of Party / Program – (Port au Prince, Haiti)

CRS is seeking a Program Manager II, AIDSRelief Haiti Deputy Chief of Party/Program. AIDSRelief, a dynamic HIV/AIDS care and treatment program is a multi-year, multi-million dollar project that delivered high quality, durable anti-retroviral therapy (ART) during the first five years of the program. AIDSRelief Haiti is preparing for a three-year sustainability plan which involves transfer of key program responsibilities to local organizations in Haiti by 2012.
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP) is responsible for site management – ensuring that the grant’s tangible and intangible resources are used at Local Partner Treatment Facilities (LPTF’s) in ways that allow them to achieve grant objectives within grant terms. These resources include supply chain, administrative, and strategic information support. Among these broad responsibilities, the DCoP will coordinate with the University of Maryland’s Institute for Human Virology (IHV) technical support staff to ensure that there is appropriate allocation of clinical support for the sites with a special focus on Continuous Quality Improvement.
Qualifications include: medical doctor degree or a MPH preferred; 8+ years in public health program management; 5 + years supervisory experience; excellent French and English oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to work with a variety of faith-based organizations,
particularly the Catholic Church; clinical experience working with HIV/AIDS a plus.

AED’s Communication for Change (C-Change) is a social and behavior change communication (SBCC) project funded by USAID. C-Change’s mandate is to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of communication as an integral part of development efforts across all aspects of health. In Jamaica and
