I. New Resources
Monitoring and Evaluation Guidance and Tools

II. Call for Conference Submissions
African Community of Practice on Managing for Development Results (AfCoP)'s Annual Meeting
23-25 May 2011
Results stories submission deadline: 18 March 2011
The African Community of Practice on Managing for Development Results (AfCoP)’s Annual Meeting is fast approaching! A main focus of the Annual Meeting is sharing good practices in Managing for Development Results (MfDR). In order to share leading examples from across Africa, we are launching a call for results stories with the aim of collecting evidence on how countries and organizations are currently using MfDR approaches and tools. The call is available here.
 
Submissions are welcomed in the following categories:
  • Leadership for Results;
  • Evaluation and Statistics for Decision-Making;
  • Planning and Budgeting for Outcomes;
  • Citizens’ Engagement and Accountability in Public Sector Management;
  • South-South Cooperation and Regional Integration for Results.
Authors of the most ground-breaking Results Stories will be invited to the AfCoP’s Annual Meeting from May 23-25, 2011, expenses paid for by the AfCoP Secretariat. In addition, the submissions will be featured on the AfCoP website (www.cop-mfdr-africa.org) and a selection of them will be translated into French.
 
The deadline to submit a results story is March 18, 2011. To find out more about the application criteria please see the link above. Individuals from African public sectors, development agencies, civil society organizations, academia, and private sectors are encouraged to apply. III. Conference Registration Reminder
Global Health Metrics & Evaluation conference

14-16 March 2011
Seattle, WA, USA
The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), The Lancet, Harvard School of Public Health, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and the University of Queensland School of Population Health are hosting a conference in Seattle on March 14-16, 2011 to advance the field of health metrics and evaluation. The conference aims to bring together all the different disciplines involved in global health measurement and evaluation under one roof to share innovative tools and methods to get a better understanding of what the possibilities are in approaching population health measurement.
