The Urban Reproductive Health Initiative provides high-quality, cost-effective and voluntary family planning services to some of the world's most vulnerable people. The Initiative links country-level implementation teams in India (Uttar Pradesh), Nigeria, Kenya and Senegal with evaluation experts on the Measurement, Learning & Evaluation (MLE) Project to build a robust evidence and knowledge base that will shape future urban family planning/reproductive health policies and programs.

MLE at the 2011 International Conference on Family Planning

The Measurement, Learning and Evaluation (MLE) project for the Urban Reproductive Health Initiative had an extensive presence at the 2011 International Conference on Family Planning in Dakar, Senegal.

This conference brought 2,500 participants together to share research, best practices and progress on national strategies to deliver affordable and high quality family planning services. Conference participants universally agreed that making family planning programs, policies and acceptance a high priority will significantly contribute to improving quality of life and well-being globally.

A total of 18 papers and posters were presented using the MLE baseline data. Many of the presentations will be included on the MLE website in 2012. For the complete list of MLE presentations, click here
