The Urban Reproductive Health Initiative provides high-quality, cost-effective, and voluntary family planning services to some of the world's most vulnerable people. The Initiative links country-level implementation teams in India (Uttar Pradesh), Nigeria, Kenya, and Senegal with evaluation experts on the Measurement, Learning & Evaluation (MLE) Project to build a robust evidence and knowledge base that will shape future urban family planning/reproductive health policies and programs.

Evolving Men: Initial Results from the International Men and Gender Equality Survey

Evolving Men 

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) recently released this report summarizing multi-country findings from the International Men and Gender Equality Survey (IMAGES).

 

The survey is a comprehensive household questionnaire on men's attitude and practices -- along with women's opinions and reports of men's practices -- on a wide variety of topics related to gender equality.

Making Room for a Planet of Cities   

Making Room for a Planet of Cities 

The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy with support from Cities Alliance and the World Bank released a new report stating that at present rates of density decline, the world's urban population is expected to double in 43 years.   

 

The report provides both the conceptual framework and the basic empirical data and quantitative dimensions of past, present, and future urban expansion in cities around the world. The report's authors carefully selected metrics measured to provide a comprehensive and consistent global and historical perspective on urban expansion.
