MLE 2011 Updates
• Conducted HH pre-survey activities (mapping, training of trainers and interviewers)
• Conducted a training-of-trainers workshop and pre-tested facility-level survey tools
• Trained interviewers (pharmacists and midwives) for facility-level survey and began data collection
• Completed household-level data collection and data entry (first entry plus verification)
• Completed facility-level data collection in more than 205 health facilities and 518 pharmacies including facility audits, exit interviews with clients and interviews with providers
• Created entry system to be used for facility level data
• Completed descriptive programmatically-relevant tables of individual- and facility-level baseline data
• Held ISSU/MLE Data Use Workshop in collaboration with the Futures Institute, which was tailored to ISSU-specific questions and programmatic themes
• Finalized outline for multi-city household-level baseline data report
• Finalized outline for facility-level baseline data report
• Developed a Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy for Senegal in collaboration with ISSU
• Worked in collaboration with ISSU to identify their updated 2012 targets based on the baseline results (Y3 Planning workshop)
• Conducted an M&E 101 workshop for more than 25 participants from numerous countries throughout the Francophone Africa region
• Completed draft Senegal Technical Working Paper
