1. Two positions open on our project!
An exciting opportunity to join our team! The positions are based at the Carolina Population Center of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The project focuses on the following main areas:
- Undertaking a rigorous impact evaluation of family planning and reproductive health programs in India (Uttar Pradesh), Nigeria, Kenya, and Senegal;
- Building skills and professional capacity of local and regional partners to undertake rigorous measurement and evaluation; and
- Identifying and documenting evidence-based interventions and best practices for providing FP/RH services to the urban poor and sharing information globally about promising approaches with policymakers, program managers, and researchers.
One position is a knowledge management role, the other is a country and technical backstop for data collection.

2. Evaluation Consultant
UNFPA Bangkok
The United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA- Asia and the Pacific Regional Office, is looking for an evaluation consultant. Please find attached the Terms of Reference.
The main purpose of this consultancy is to undertake Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities of the Regional Office, including capacity development, development of tools/methodologies, provision of technical advice and support to evaluations being conducted in the region, and building resources and good practices in the regional knowledge hub, to ensure evaluation principles and standards are followed and evaluation findings and recommendations are used to improve UNFPA policy advice and
operations.

Announcing the Regional Workshop on:
MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF POPULATION, HEALTH AND NUTRITION PROGRAMS
August 2 - 20, 2010
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
USAID's MEASURE Evaluation Project is pleased to announce an opportunity for training in monitoring and evaluation for professionals in the Anglophone Africa region. The regional workshop on "Monitoring and Evaluation of Population, Health and Nutrition Programs" will take place August 2-20, 2010 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This three-week course is offered in collaboration with the Ethiopian Public Health Association, the School of Public Health and the Institute of Population Studies, Addis Ababa University, and will provide intensive, hands-on training in the fundamentals of monitoring and evaluation. The course will target
mid-level health and population officers, program managers and other professionals involved with the implementation of population, health and nutrition programs in the Anglophone Africa region.
A limited number of MEASURE Evaluation fellowships are available to citizens of USAID-assisted countries.
